As I mentioned yesterday, Saturday was my dear friend Kelly's bridal shower. She's marrying the love of her life, Keith, come November 6th! We're all so looking forward to the wedding because these two are truly meant for each other. But as we all know, before the big day, there are a few pre-wedding festivities that need to be tended to.
First comes the bridal shower...
The bridesmaids and myself had a great time planning the details and pulling everything together the day of the shower so that the bride-to-be would have a day she would never forget. We reigned victorious! Kelly had a well deserved, amazing time!
Above is a picture of the scrumptious food the guests enjoyed. I was in charge of the cupcakes. They were a huge success and worth the hours it took to make them. They turned out to be such a fun project (though I don't mind if I don't see a piping bag in the near future)!
We played the infamous toilet paper wedding dress game. I was truly shocked by the dresses these ladies were able to put together in three minutes with nothing other than a few rolls of toilet paper. In the end, Lynn's team reigned supreme! Heather even mentioned that she needed to remember the design because it was the best one she ever made. Do you think that we go to too many bridal showers?
Kelly was in all her glory opening her loads of loot! My favorite picture that I took is the one you see above with her very first place setting. She's glowing!
Above you see some of the guests. The bottom left photo is Kelly with all of her bridesmaids (sans Malerie, she had to leave early). I want to send a HUGE thank you to each and every one of them for their contribution to such a great shower. Ashleigh, the Maid of Honor, did a fantastic job keeping everyone on track leading up to the party. Also, an even BIGGER thank you to Donna and Rick, my in-laws, for allowing us to use their beautiful home to host the event. The day couldn't have turned out better thanks to you guys!
Bridal shower down... Bachelorette party to go! This could get interesting! Check back later for the down low on that night!
