This weekend consisted of some much needed relaxation! I took long naps both Saturday and Sunday and they left me rejuvenated and ready to take on this week.
This weekend also allowed me to spend a lot of quality time with the husband. Numerous times we randomly broke out into Christmas carols. Seriously, if two people were ever meant for each other, it would be us. What other man would enthusiastically chime in while I am singing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" in October with, "Like a light bulb!" He didn't miss a beat.
Onto the BabyCenter.com update:
"Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon."
In other news, the goal I sat last week was met. Rich felt Cooper move and he loved it! We had some family over on Saturday night for pizza and poker (check back tomorrow) and my Mom was also able to feel him move. Alisa was dying to feel him but we weren't successful this go round. Maybe next time!
Happy Monday all! Hope that you all have a productive and fulfilling week!
