This weekend was wonderfully uneventful and relaxing. The majority of the weekend the weather was overcast and rainy, making for perfect lounge on the couch with way too many pillows and blankets, watch Christmas movies, and do nothing else weather. It was fantastic and just what we needed after a stressful work week.
Onto the update from BabyCenter.com-
"By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth."
I can't help but giggle at this update a bit. When we had our 4D sonogram on December 9th, he was already weighing in at 4 pounds. Trust me, I feel every bit of those 4 pounds. Cooper's movements are so drastic now. It amazes me to watch my stomach flow in waves when he moves around inside me. Also quite prevalent now are his hiccups. It's pretty cute to watch my stomach jump rhythmically. I wonder if it bugs him how often he gets hiccups?
Other than the horrible indigestion, heartburn, and my inability to sleep, all is well. The way that I see it, these are just a few little discomforts that I can handle in order to have our perfect baby boy.
Now, is it nap time yet?
